Come Back! Part II

The Yankees and the Hawks squared of in a Semi-Final game of the Heritage Classic, the Hawks struck first with 2 in their first at bat, the Yankees answered in the top half of the second on RBI singles from 1B George Adam and 3b Tim Nargi to tie it up.  The Hawks offense however didn't stop taking advantage of a Yankee error they struck for 4 runs to take a commanding 6-2 lead in these short 7 inning games.

The Yanks never panicked and with one swing from the Mighty Jon Bybee's Bat with a  2 run shot over the right field fence the Yanks cut the Hawk lead to 6-4, an inning later the Yankees played long ball again this time from C Adam Kearny solo shot and the yanks inched even closer.

Moving to the 7th and final inning the Yankees still saw themselves down 6-5, the Hawks brought in their hard throwing closer and were sure they were going to take this one, but with a runner on SS Deven Ewell had different ideas, and launched a Moon Shot to the deepest part of the field that went easily 400 plus feet and the Yankees were in the lead on their 3rd HR of the day off of Hawk pitching, the Yankees added two more runs off the rattled hawks pitcher behind solid singles from Nargi and CF Jamien Payne.   The stunned Hawks did score one more run in their half of the7th but too much damage was done by the Yankee offense winning this one 9-7 and advancing to the Heritage Classic Finals.

The Yankees and Knights were scoreless after 5, the yanks managed a run in the 6th on a Knight error.  But then all the offense showed up, the Knights scored 3 times on 3 hits in the top of the 7th to take a 3-1 lead.  The Yankees were down to their final out but had basses loaded when GAry Marean hit an 0-2 offering into center field to score 2 and tie the game, Logan Springer then singled to left to drive in the winning run as the Yanks pulled this one out 4-3 to advance in the Heritage Classic.
