| Several years of frustration with
the County over field use the PW Yankees took it upon themselves to build
there own field as to eliminate the County when it came to "permits". In 2002 the Yankees struck an agreement with Heritage Baptist Church/School and work began right away. Originally the field faced South-East and right field was a mere 250 feet, the field was turned to face North East as all Baseball fields should. Next a 6 inch base of sand was dumped where the new infield was to go, this proved valuable as the field drains very fast and rain-outs are less prevalent because of a storm the day before a game. The home plate area was built of clay and sand mix and the mound was built inch by inch of heavily compacted clay making it a launching pad for pitchers. All new sod was brought in for the infield. In a throw back to the olden fields of yore the backstop and dugouts were made of wood. The new outfield still has a way to go as far as improvements but a new fence was put up with dimensions of 318' to left, 314' to right, 370' to right center, 347' to left center but with a 14 foot high wall extending all the way out to center field. |

North on I-95: |
I-95 South, Exit 156 (Dale Blvd), proceed on Dale blvd for 2.5 miles. Take a Left onto Minnieville Road (Rt 640), proceed on Minnieville Road for another 2.5 miles. Turn Right onto Spriggs Road (Food Lion on the corner). Take first left into School parking lot. | |||||||||||||

South on I-95: |
I-95 South, Exit 152 (Route 234), proceed on Route 234 towards Manassas for approx 4 miles. Take a Right onto Spriggs Road (Forest Park High School on corner), proceed on Spriggs Road till you come to intersection with Minnieville Road (Food Lion on the corner). Proceed across intersection. Take first left into School parking lot. | |||||||||||||
| From the North on Route 28: | Take Route 28 South into Manassas Park. Turn left onto Liberia Road. At end of Liberia Turn Left onto Prince William Parkway, follow PW Parkway for approx 5/6 miles. Turn Right onto Hoadly Road, proceed on Hoadly Road past Dale Blvd. After Dale blvd take left onto Spriggs Road, proceed on Spriggs Road approx 3 miles, make right into school parking lot. (coming from this direction the entrance is hidden by trees and the bend of the road, beware!!, if you see the Food Lion on your left you went to far!!). | |||||||||||||
